Bally’s Atlantic City will have completed 222 hotel room renovations by next week, as part of the project to remodel 750 hotel rooms in its iconic tower, the global casino-entertainment company announced Feb. 17.
The company chose Feb. 22 — or 2/22/22 — for the completion date because “the number two is a lucky number for casino customers,” according to the announcement.
Additionally, “this date is symbolic for Bally’s Atlantic City as it’s under new ownership,” the company stated in the announcement. Bally’s Atlantic City’s previous owners, Caesars Entertainment Corp. and VICI Properties, announced in April 2020 it sold the property to Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc. for $25 million.
The room upgrades are part of Bally’s property-wide renovations, totaling more than $100 million. That also includes updates to the hotel lobby, lobby bar and indoor/outdoor entertainment venue, which are anticipated to debut Memorial Day weekend.
The renovated room design is inspired by Atlantic City’s beach, boardwalk and “the fresh relaxed summertime feel that comes with it.” The contemporary, lighter design includes new flooring with carpet inlays, tiled bathrooms with modern vanities and illuminated mirrors, and new showers.
In addition to fully remodeling the suites on the 45th to 48th floors, Bally’s will combine a select number of rooms to create 16 new penthouse-style suites. The new suite designs will feature dining areas, pool tables, wet bars, custom rainfall showers and more.
Bally’s Corp. owns and manages 14 casinos across 10 states, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 16 states. It also owns global online gaming operator Gamesys Group; Bally Interactive, a sports betting platform; and several other online products.
