Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in is kicking off a redesign of its iconic B Bar.

Slated to reopen in May, the updated venue will feature a sleek look, enhanced atmosphere and new offerings, according to the MGM Resorts-owned property.

Located on Borgata’s casino floor, the bar is in the middle of all the action. The refresh will introduce Italian-inspired design elements. However, the casino said B Bar will retain its popular round bar for guests to enjoy handcrafted cocktails and video poker games.

Commenting on upgrades, President and COO Niklas Rytterstrom said, “With B Bar at the center of the action on our gaming floor, we set out to imagine a sophisticated and fun space where guests can meet, drink, game and enjoy live entertainment.”

Borgata said the project is being designed by Avenue. The same firm worked on the $55 million upgrade of The Water Club ahead of the resort’s 20th anniversary. Now known as the MGM Tower, that property features more than 700 reimagined guestrooms, luxury suites and a 9,000-square-foot event space.

According to a Borgata spokesperson, four other bars will serve guests while B Bar closes for :

  • Long Bar
  • Lobby Bar
  • BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar
  • Level One Cocktail Bar & Lounge (for high-end gamers)

The remodel is part of a property-wide transformation that will unfold throughout 2025, according to Borgata.

“During the months ahead, we’ll introduce new experiences throughout the resort, giving guests exciting reasons to visit again and again,” said Rytterstrom. The leader took the helm of the property in March 2024.

At the time, he said, “I’m honored to be embarking on this new journey at Borgata. This property is an integral part of the Atlantic City community, and I can’t wait to jump in and continue to help drive growth and success throughout not just this amazing city – but New Jersey and surrounding regions.”

In September, Borgata also announced significant upgrades to its casino floor. The scope of work includes a reimagined gaming experience and additional dining options, such as a new Asian cuisine concept and bar with rare liquors from around the world.

Over the past year, the casino resort has conducted several other enhancements, like revitalizing Long Bar and expanding the outdoor pool.
