DoorDash is teaming up with Wegmans Food Markets to bring grocery delivery to New Jersey just in time for the start of the holiday season.
In an Oct. 8 press release, the on-demand delivery platform announced the expanded partnership with the family-owned supermarket chain’s more than 110 stores along the East Coast.
Consistently ranked as one of the best grocery stores in the U.S., Rochester-based Wegmans is known for its array of restaurant-quality meals, artisan breads, fresh produce, internationally sourced cheese and daily essentials.
Within New Jersey, Wegmans has supermarkets in Montvale, Hanover, Bridgewater, Princeton, Woodbridge, Manalapan, Ocean, Mount Laurel and Cherry Hill.
Through Oct. 31, Door Dash is offering 40% off all eligible orders of $50 or more using promo code WEGMANS. According to the platform, discounts cannot exceed $25.
DoorDash and Wegmans’s current partnership brings a variety of the supermarket chain’s hot and fresh ready-made meal options to customers’ doors.
Erica Tickle, Wegmans vice president of marketing and digital growth, noted the existing relationship. “DoorDash has been a great partner for our Meals 2GO program, and expanding our offering to include grocery delivery allows us to meet our customers where they are,” Tickle said.
“Our goal is to make meals easy and help our customers live healthier, better lives through exceptional food,” she added. “Expanding our delivery network is just one way we’re able to continue delivering on that mission.”
Fuad Hannon, vice president of new verticals at DoorDash, said his company and Wegmans share a similar commitment “to bring the best of every local community online.”
“Wegmans offers quality foods and a top-notch grocery store experience. We’re proud to help extend their brand to the DoorDash Marketplace, and provide the tools and technology to serve customers in a new way,” he said.
