Eat Clean Bro teamed up with actress and television personality Lala Anthony to make the holiday season a little brighter for children who are less fortunate.
During Anthony’s annual Winter Wonderland charity event Dec. 14 in New York City, the Eatontown-based meal delivery service was on hand to serve up healthy food to local kids.
Altogether, Eat Clean Bro donated more than $6,000 worth of food for a buffet-style dinner that fed 375 people, a company spokesperson said.
Jamie Giovinazzo, president and founder of Eat Clean Bro, told NJBIZ the company was thrilled to participate for a fifth time in the annual event benefiting Girls Inc. and NYC Pal.
“At Eat Clean Bro, we admire people and organizations that make a difference which is why it was so important for us to team up with Lala to give students, ages 6-18 a night of holiday fun. We are thankful to be able to continually participate in such a noteworthy cause,” he said.
Since founding the business in 2013, owner Jamie Giovinazzo has made it a point to give back to the community by working with various nonprofit organizations and charities.
Recent efforts have included sponsoring the wedding of longtime Eat Clean Bro customers and military veterans Andrew Addison and Claudia Garcia of Marlboro.
Eat Clean Bro also partnered with Team85, a Bordentown fitness center, on Thanksgiving Eve to distribute more than 2,000 holiday dinners to those in need.
