A Woodcliff Lake-based drugmaker and a lawyer with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey will be honored for their work with young people by SEEDS-Access Changes Everything at the organization’s Leading Change Benefit next month.

Eagle Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Assistant U.S. Attorney NaSheena Porter Poznansky will be recognized for their initiative and commitment to enhancing the educational opportunities of young people in the Garden State.

“At SEEDS, we truly believe that when access meets opportunity, amazing outcomes happen. The type of commitment Eagle Pharmaceuticals has made to SEEDS – supporting our scholars, providing internships, leaning into volunteer opportunities – that has real impact on people’s lives,” said SEEDS President and CEO John Castano in a statement. “They ensure SEEDS’ outcomes, the type of success we celebrate in alum NaSheena Porter Poznansky and her impactful legal career.”

The organization said Eagle has been a partner in its efforts since 2020. The company’s work includes supporting 15 scholars, presenting at the SEEDS Capstone Speaker Series, participating in its annual benefit and Allen Meisels Memorial Golf Classic, and attending its Academic & Students Affairs Panel Discussions.

Porter Poznansky is the community outreach coordinator for the New Jersey U.S. Attorney’s Office and the co-chair of the Diversity Committee of the Union County Bar Association. Before starting at Tulane University Law School in 2010, she worked in the admissions department at SEEDS.

Founded in 1992, SEEDS provides motivated, high-achieving, low-income students with access to educational opportunities that would have otherwise been unavailable due to their socioeconomic status. Through three academic programs, the organization aims to prepare students of various grade levels for eventual placement into competitive private schools and colleges across the country.

Eagle Pharmaceuticals is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on injectable treatments for patients in oncology, critical care and orphan diseases.

The 2023 Leading Change Benefit will be on March 29 at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park. For more information, click here.
