Fresh off the health system’s official formation, Hudson Regional Health network announced board leadership appointments.
As NJBIZ reported, the health system formally launched May 22, following the court-approved implementation of CarePoint Health’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan. The network comprises Hudson Regional Hospital (Secaucus), Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital (Jersey City).
The board of trustees made several actions taken during a June 1 meeting. The group appointed Yan Moshe chairman and Dr. Nizar Kifaieh president and CEO of Hudson Regional Health. Additionally, the board named former CarePoint CEO and chairman Dr. Achintya Moulick and Moshe co-chairmen of Hudson Health System. That management service organization will operate the network as one integrated health care system.

“This is a proud moment for all of us who have worked tirelessly to create a more unified, modern, and patient-focused healthcare system in Hudson County,” said Moshe. “We now have the foundation, leadership, and vision in place to deliver on our commitment to elevate care in every corner of the region.”
“Hudson Health System is the realization of our highest aspirations for excellent health care services to Hudson County and the broader region, and I am excited to continue CarePoint’s legacy of service to the community in this new role,” said Moulick. “Together, we are creating a cohesive health care network built on shared expertise, community roots, and a deep commitment to better outcomes for the patients we serve.”
The new health system boasts more than 5,000 employees and over 1,500 affiliated physicians. Efforts are already underway to expand services, advance technologies and upgrade facilities.

Kifaieh said he is honored by the board’s trust. He added he looks forward to working with the dedicated teams across all four hospitals.
“We’re building on the success of Hudson Regional Hospital by expanding access, modernizing infrastructure, and prioritizing the patient experience throughout the network.”
