Jersey Mike’s Subs is kicking off a fundraiser in support of lifesaving science to prevent and cure breast cancer.

On Sept. 28 and 29, the Manasquan-based fast-casual chain will donate 20% of sales from its nearly 3,000 locations nationwide to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the highest-rated breast cancer research organization in the U.S.

Donna McKay, president and chief executive officer of New York-headquartered BCRF, noted Jersey Mike’s “longstanding commitment to philanthropy.” She said her organization is “grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness of the critical need for research and for the support of our global legion of scientists.”

Founded in 1993, BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. By investing in the best minds in science to examine all aspects of the disease, from prevention to metastasis, BCRF aims to move society closer to finding a cure.
