Kennedys Law LLP has relocated its New Jersey office, joining several other high-profile tenants rounding out the occupancy at The Park in Berkeley Heights.

The law firm takes residence at 400 Connell Drive, Suite 700 at the “work resort” from The Connell Co. after making the move from Basking Ridge.

According to Kennedys, the transfer marks a new chapter of continued growth in the firm’s U.S. operations. It pointed to the vibrant new surroundings, thoughtfully designed work environments and access to “first-class” amenities offered at The Park. The New Jersey move also follows recent expansions in Los Angeles and Seattle.

Kenndys said its Garden State group serves domestic and international clients across a range of practice areas, such as insurance coverage, corporate and commercial, defense and financial lines. Find out more about the New Jersey office here.

Expanding roster

Those investments align with other operators making moves in the office sector. And, with enterprises making moves specifically to The Park.

In May, the mixed-use property said it was nearing lease-up for its office space. And earlier this summer, Advil maker Haleon also said it would move from Somerset County to the Berkeley Heights spot.

The Connell Co. is implementing a $500 million redevelopment plan at the 187-acre mixed-use property.

Along with 1.5 million square feet of revamped office space across five buildings, the property includes public spaces, walking trails and plenty more is due. The new, forthcoming residential component at The Park recently topped out as progress on the main commerce concourse The District also advances. Overall, the mix will deliver 185,000 square feet of new restaurant, entertainment and retail concepts.

Global litigation and dispute resolution firm Kennedys boasts more than 2,900 employees across 46 offices in 19 counties. In Fiscal Year 2024/25, Kennedys said it recorded revenue of $551 million — marking a 22% increase in North America.

As part of its move to Union County, the firm said it aimed to reinforce a commitment to community and sustainability. Kennedys donated furniture and equipment from its former office, partnering with local nonprofits including Moms Helping Moms Foundation, Community Hope and Bernards Township Library.
