Currently Warren-based Haleon officially split from GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) in 2022. So it’s about time the company gets a headquarters all its own. Haleon executives, team members, project partners and others gathered March 25 to kick off construction on its new base, coming to The Park in Berkeley Heights.
The move will bring more than 700 employees to the 78,000-square-foot space in Union County for at least 10 years. It signals a(nother) recommitment to the state from a major life sciences company. Multinational consumer health care company Haleon is home to brands including Advil, Tums, Robitussin, Aquafresh and more.
The investment also reflects a flight to quality seen in the office sector. Company officials highlighted Berkeley Heights, the communal atmosphere on campus at The Park and the “work resort’s” current – and under-development – amenities and offerings as drivers. Since the spinoff, Haleon has been on a transformative journey, said Nathalie Gerschtein, CEO USA and President of North America. “And this new office is like the physical point of that transformation,” she said during the Wednesday event. “It’s going to be really our first home for Haleon in the U.S. … And we decided to invest in our future, in our employees, in our ways of working, in doing the work even better for today, but also for tomorrow.”
