West Orange-based Lincoln Educational Services, which operates the Lincoln Technical Institute and Cittone Institute schools in 11 states, said on Tuesday it has acquired nine former Computer Learning Center schools. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The schools are located in Paramus; Henderson, Nevada; Marietta and Norcross, Georgia; Philadelphia, North Philadelphia and Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; and Boston and Lowell in Massachusetts.

The names of the Pennsylvania schools will be changed to The Cittone Institute, and will specialize in computer and information technology training. The others will operate under the name of Computer-Ed Institute.

Lincoln recently acquired Computer-Ed Business Institute, which operates five schools in New England, Denver Auto Diesel College in Denver, Colorado, and summer computer camps in Boston and Chicago.

“The acquisition of these facilities allows us further growth in the growing field of information technology, and marks our third acquisition in four months. It also gives us a base to open additional schools in these markets, for which we have determined there is great demand for information technology training,” David F. Carney, Lincoln”s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.
