Micronet Enertec gets purchase order for defense systems

Micronet Enertec Technologies Inc. announced Monday that its aerospace and defense wholly-owned subsidiary, Enertec Systems 2001 Ltd., was awarded a $900,000 purchase order to develop, produce and supply a defense system for an Israeli-based defense and aerospace contractor.This order is part of a three-stage, $5.8 million project announced in April 2016. To date, the company has received continuing orders related to the project in a total of $4.7 million.

“As we expected when we announced the contract in April 2016, our customer has placed additional follow on orders for this sophisticated computer based system, which was fully developed by our dedicated R&D team. In fiscal year 2013, we were proud to be selected to develop this mission critical system and this additional order is a direct result of our successful effort,” Zvi Avni, CEO of Enertec, said in a prepared statement.

“We are building a solid backlog and pipeline in our Aerospace and Defense business as the marketplace recognizes our capabilities as a dependable and innovative provider of state-of-the-art Command and Control defense systems.
