Serving the commercial real estate and construction industries, boutique law firm Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP continues to grow its team of attorneys.

Newark-based MSW recently introduced two new partners and two associates: Daniel Perlman, Eric Alvarez, Paige Guarino and Michael Higgins.

The new hires’ experience in CRE, construction and land use enhance its capabilities to serve developers, investors, lenders, contractors and other industry stakeholders, regionally and beyond. They also reflect MSW’s eye toward developing future attorneys.

Founding Partner and Executive Committee member, and a past NJBIZ Leaders in Law honoree, Chris Murphy said, “These additions reflect our continued focus on thoughtful, strategic growth in the commercial real estate and construction sectors.”

Getting to know you:

Perlman comes on board as partner. He brings more than 25 years of legal and business experience to MSW. His practice focuses on commercial real estate and corporate matters. Beyond his legal career, Perlman has also founded and operated multiple businesses. He previously practiced at Sills Cummis & Gross, and co-founded Foley Perlman & Campbell.

Joining as a partner in MSW’s litigation practice, Alvarez comes on board with more than a decade of experience. He represents developers, property owners, contractors, and other construction industry professionals in high-stakes matters across state and federal courts and arbitration forums. His background includes in-house counsel experience with a major developer.

Associates Guarino and Higgins will further strengthen the firm’s transactional and land use capabilities. Higgins joins the Land Use, Zoning and Redevelopment practice.

Guarino’s experience includes drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, and related real estate documents, as well as managing transactions across multiple jurisdiction. Higgins’ experience includes guiding clients through site plan and variance approvals and regularly appears before municipal boards throughout New Jersey.
