Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken – a fast casual, Nashville-style hot chicken chain that requires customers to sign a waiver before consuming its spiciest sauce – is putting the finishing touches on its newest restaurants in New Jersey.

According to franchisee Jimmy Kim, a location in Northvale (269 Livingston St.) is scheduled to open in early January, followed by one in Closter (273 Closter Dock Road, #1A) in February.

Kim, along with James Son, opened New Jersey’s first Hangry Joe’s earlier this year in Florham Park.

At the restaurant, customers can select their spice level, which ranges from plain to “angry hot.” The eatery’s menu offers chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, chicken and waffles, chicken bites and Korean chicken nuggets, as well as sides including waffle fries, coleslaw and fried okra.
