Paris Baguette opens new Cherry Hill bakery café

Located at 951 Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill, experienced franchisees Ashish and Payal Shah operate the new café, according to a May 21 announcement.
Payal Shah has also operated Subway, Wingstop and Blaze Pizza eateries in her more than 20 years of franchise experience, according to Moonachie-based Paris Baguette. In his LinkedIn profile, Ashish Shah notes experience with the Zaxbys brand, as well.
The Cherry Hill opening marks the first of the Shahs’ more than 16 expected Paris Baguette locations set for across South Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Boston metro and Georgia. Ashish Shah’s LinkedIn profile notes he is based in the Princeton area. A company representative did not immediately confirm the franchisees’ base.
“After years of experience operating successful fast-casual brands, I was looking for a concept that stood out — something with both strong brand identity and long-term growth potential,” Payal Shah said in a statement. “Paris Baguette immediately caught my attention.”
The franchisee noted the brand “brings something unique to the table.” She highlighted the premium product, design and “an experience that blends fast-casual convenience with European-style sophistication.”
In an interview with 1851 Franchise, Payal Shah also said she appreciates “the company’s strong leadership, clear vision for growth and commitment to supporting franchisees.”

Darren Tipton, Paris Baguette CEO, added, “We’re on a mission to reestablish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S., and we’re excited to see Ashish and Payal bring this vision to life in Cherry Hill.”
The company aims to have 1,000 bakery cafés in operation in North America by 2030. Paris Baguette now has more than 30 locations in New Jersey.
According to Ashish Shah’s social post, the Cherry Hill location has been open for about three weeks. To celebrate the opening, Paris Baguette will offer buy-one, get-one pastries from 6 a.m. to noon May 27. Limit one offer per customer.
