Dickey’s Pit is planning a fourth outpost in New Jersey.

According to the Texas-style barbecue chain’s website, a location is coming to 700 Plaza Drive in . A representative for the chain said Dickey’s is projecting a mid- to late-July opening for the new Hudson County location.

Founded in 1941, the Dallas-based chain is known for its slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sausage and Southern sides, like macaroni & cheese, beans and fried okra.

The third-generation, family-run company’s global footprint of more than 400 locations includes Jersey City, Union City and Egg Harbor Township. The brand also runs a ghost kitchen adjacent to its spot in ‘s Journal Square area that prepares food for online orders only.

Secaucus is among a half dozen new franchise deals signed as Dickey’s marks its 85th anniversary this year. Restaurants are also under development in Georgia, Louisiana and Canada, the company recently announced.

Dickey’s CEO Laura Rea Dickey shared, “These new partnerships signal the strength of our family’s legacy and the continued demand for championship style barbecue. We’re proud to welcome these new Owner Operators into the brand and we look forward to working alongside these enthusiastic operators who are passionate about building the Dickey’s legacy in their community every day.”

Dickey’s will join the lineup at The Plaza at Harmon Meadow. Other dining options at the sprawling 200-acre mixed-use campus include:
