TruGolf names NJ location for flagship golf simulator center

An indoor concept that combines high-tech golf simulators with an upscale restaurant and bar is coming to Cherry Hill.

TruGolf Links signed a lease agreement for a 6,045-square-foot space at Plaza at Cherry Hill. Now the concept expects to debut its first flagship storefront there by the end of the year, according to Urban Edge Properties, the open-air shopping center’s owner.

TruGolf is a longtime developer of golf simulation technology. The announcement comes about a year after the company revealed plans to tee up a venue that lets fans play the sport virtually.

As part of its first regional development deal, local entrepreneur Nicholas Reimondo is working with the company. He plans to eventually launch 40 franchised centers across North and Central Jersey, as well as a few in Bucks County, Pa.

According to TruGolf, the upcoming Cherry Hill facility will include five premium golf simulators, an upscale bar and dining area.

New community space

Reimondo is a hospitality industry veteran and golfer. He shared, “Bringing TruGolf Links to Cherry Hill is incredibly exciting — not just as a flagship location, but as a new hub for the community. Whether you’re an avid golfer, looking for a fun night out with friends, planning a family outing or a company event, our center is designed to deliver something for everyone.”

He added, “Cherry Hill deserves a destination that blends immersive indoor golf, great food and drinks, and entertainment for all audiences. We’re proud to make that vision a reality.”

Chief Development Officer Ben Litalien described as the perfect location for the brand’s’ “unparalleled golf simulator, arcade and elevated bar experience.”

At Plaza at Cherry Hill, TruGolf Links will join a tenant mix that also includes:

  • Discount grocer Aldi
  • Wine and spirits seller Total Wine
  • Casual dining chain Red Robin
  • Family entertainment center Chuck E. Cheese

 

Ahead of TruGolf Link’s opening, Urban Edge plans to make several enhancements and upgrades to the Route 38 property. The moves aim to to “deliver an overall fresher experience for the shopper.”

Ronnie Bertrand, director of for the real estate investment trust, shared, “We invest a lot of time and energy into identifying retail categories that fill needs within the marketplaces where we operate and will excite the community.

“This will be one of TruGolf Link’s first flagship locations in the U.S. to include their new bar and kitchen concept, and we’re looking forward to adding them to our portfolio as they look to expand their U.S. footprint.”
