Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, a subsidiary of Anywhere Real Estate Inc., named a new leader for Coldwell Banker Affiliates, the company’s global franchise business. 

Effective Oct. 10, Jason Waugh takes over from Liz Gehringer, the previous president of Coldwell Banker Affiliates who was named president and CEO of Anywhere Franchise Brands in March. Waugh reports to Gehringer.

In his new role, Waugh will lead the Coldwell Banker brand, including brand strategy and positioning, affiliate operations, and franchise sales for its growing network of 100,000 affiliated sales professionals in more than 39 countries and territories, the company said. 

In a statement, Gehringer referred to Waugh as “a remarkable leader who brings both a deep understanding of real estate and a sharp sales acumen, drawn from his diverse range of business experience.” 

“After an extensive search to ensure that we found an exemplary leader to guide Coldwell Banker in this new era, we found in Jason the leadership attributes and vision for growth that will be invaluable to our affiliate partners,” Gehringer added.

Waugh comes to Coldwell Banker from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Real Estate Professionals, where he served as president and CEO. According to his LinkedIn profile, Waugh worked for Berkshire Hathaway for more than 18 years. 

Before starting his career in real estate, Waugh was a partner at Synergy Sports Management. He earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Pepperdine University and Pepperdine University School of Law. 

The new leader said he was elated to work for Coldwell Banker, “the legendary North Star of the real estate industry.” 

Waugh will work closely with Kamini Lane, who was named president and CEO for Coldwell Banker Realty, the company-owned brokerage of Coldwell Banker. 

Anywhere Real Estate has undergone numerous changes since its rebranding from its Realogy moniker in May 2022:

• In July 2022, the company rebranded its three business units and then unveiled its renovated Madison headquarters. 
• In December 2022, Anywhere announced several structural and leadership changes. 
• Then in June of this year, two new brand presidents took over its ERA Real Estate and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate banners.
