The board of directors elected seven new members at its Oct. 15 meeting. The accomplished leaders span a range of industries, expertise and regions here in the great Garden State.

The board plays an integral role for the organization. It provides guidance to chamber staff on policy affecting the state’s short- and long-term economic growth, with a special emphasis on areas such as: economic development and taxation; education and workforce development; environment and energy; government reform; health care and transportation.

“There are many opportunities and challenges facing New Jersey – and these individuals will provide counsel and expertise as we work collaboratively to ensure the state reaches its full economic potential,” said New Jersey Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Bracken.

The new board members are:

  • Michael Candido, president, J. Moore & Co. Mechanical Contractors
  • Diane Conboy-Kirshenbaum; senior managing director, market president; Peapack-Gladstone Bank
  • Stephen Dilts, senior vice president-New Jersey office leader, HNTB Corp.
  • Lawrence Inserra III, president, Inserra Supermarkets
  • Max Leventhal, director of business development, Fedway Associates
  • Phillip Vavala, region president, Atlantic City Electric
  • Deborah Visconi, president and CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center

“They will be joining a board with an already impressive group of New Jersey business leaders,” said Bracken.
