Time names 12 in NJ among top US midsize companies

Of the 500 firms named to ‘s America’s Best Midsize Companies of 2025 list, a dozen are headquartered right here in New Jersey. 

Released July 10 and compiled with data firm Statista, the list ranked companies with revenues between $100 million to $10 billion, based on 2023 and 2024 financial data. 

Time and Statista evaluated the companies on , and sustainability transparency.  

In the introduction of the second annual list, Time noted that “technology and life sciences are the two fastest growing industries in the mid-market.” 

According to Time, the top five midsize companies in the U.S. are: 

No. 1: Airbnb, California
Industry: Hospitality, Travel & Leisure 

No. 2: HubSpot, Massachusetts
Industry: Technology, Media & Services 

No. 3: New Balance, Massachusetts
Industry: Apparel, Footwear & Sporting Goods 

No. 4: Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Massachusetts
Industry: Chemicals, Drugs & Biotechnology 

No. 5: Huntington National Bank, Ohio
Industry: Banking & Financial Services
