Onyx Equities’ NOMA sets swift leasing pace in Ridgewood

VIP tours at NOMA in Ridgewood started for waitlist members two weeks ago.

Since that time, Onyx Equities announced on Jan. 28 that more than 40% of the brand-new rental residences available at NOMA have been leased.

NOMA offers 39 one- and two-bedroom units with a “country club” collection of amenities, situated in Ridgewood near the city’s train station. The community is a successor to the The Benjamin, which leased up in 50 days last spring, according to Onyx.

“There has been incredible pent-up demand for these residences,” said Onyx Equities and Onyx Living Co-founder and Managing Principal John Saraceno Jr. said in a statement. “Ridgewood is a one-of-a-kind town, and this building has been custom designed to elevate the experience of living here.”

NOMA offers 9-foot to 10-foot ceilings, open layouts, walnut plank flooring, STRATIS smart home tech, custom modular closets and in-unit washers and dryers. Kitchens include white quartz counters, stainless-steel appliances, wine storage and more. Bathrooms provide spa-like surroundings, with full-height, tile wet walls; frameless glass showers and back-lit vanity mirrors.

Certain layouts also offer larger dens and private outdoor space.

Amenities at the property bolster an “all-inclusive lifestyle,” with a Matrix fitness center, yoga studio with virtual training, a resident lounge, golf simulator, coworking space and rooftop lounge with outdoor bar, private party area, and lawn and movie screening area.

“We made the design decision to make our amenity spaces larger than people might expect of a multifamily community to appeal to demographics including long-term Ridgewood residents who want to stay in Ridgewood without compromising the creature comforts they’re used to,” Saraceno added.

NOMA offers resident storage, package delivery lockers, a pet spa, and on-site covered parking in the Bergen County city’s downtown, near Van Neste Park and Veterans Field.
