Paris Baguette approaches 200 cafés across North America (updated)

Paris Baguette approaches 200 cafés across North America (updated)

As part of a larger goal to hit 1,000 outposts across the U.S. and Canada by 2030, bakery café chain is cheering a successful year filled with grand openings and development agreements.

As of Nov. 5, the has opened 32 cafes and awarded 118 new franchises nationwide. By the end of 2024, the global brand with U.S. headquarters in Moonachie expects to launch 20 more locations and officially reach 200 cafés in North America.

Locally, the brand has added spots in towns like Morristown, Princeton and Hoboken. According to a company spokesperson, just a few of the in-state locations slated to come online next year are:

  • Ramsey
  • Clifton
  • Holmdel
  • Cherry Hill
  • Manalapan
  • Edgewater

 

Paris Baguette is known for its French-style sandwiches and freshly baked bread, pastries, dessert and coffee. Since its founding four decades ago in South Korea, the brand has grown to 4,000 units worldwide.

In a bid to set itself apart from other players in the $17 billion bakery café space, Paris Baguette focuses almost exclusively on breads, cakes, pastries and beverages. Meanwhile, many other concepts have drifted over into sandwiches and other lunch items.

Making gains

Given the growth, Paris Baguette has taken steps to build up other areas of the business, including additions to its executive leadership team. The brand recently promoted Brian Egan to vice president of development and welcomed Norm Ginsberg as vice president of operations.

The fast casual has also made continued menu innovations, such as seasonal treats and specialty items.

Additionally, after refreshing its mobile app and loyalty program, Paris Baguette said more than 650,000 members enrolled – a 25% increase since its July launch.

Paris Baguette CEO Darren Tipton said, “The momentum we’ve built over the course of the year has been incredible and I’m excited to see what the rest of the year brings as we prepare for an outstanding 2025.”

He went on to highlight the brand’s first-ever franchise convention this past August.

“Reconnecting with franchise owners, members of the corporate team and vendor partners in Las Vegas was such a great opportunity for us to take a step back and admire the hard work we’ve done to this point while remembering the larger picture of what we’re working toward,” Tipton said. “As we write the next chapter of success for Paris Baguette in North America, our dedicated teams, passionate owners and shared commitment to brand values like spreading joy and having heart will continue to power our success.”
