A collection of your photos from the fun, fruitful, charitable, honorable and miscellaneous happenings in the New Jersey business community.

  • New York City’s Wattle Café opened its third location – and first in N.J. – at the 38-story 351 Marin building in Jersey City. The Australian café offers American classics with a healthy spin, with menu items that can be tailored to accommodate diets from ranging from keto to vegan. “Supporting our local community is our Why. … With this latest expansion, we’re excited for Wattle to become a local fixture in Jersey City,” said founder Ana Ivkosic. • Wattle Café occupies 1,000 square feet at the luxury rental property developed by Kushner Real Estate Group and Northwestern Mutual. The public eatery is located adjacent and connected to the building’s lobby, which itself leads to a new outdoor public plaza with seating along Marin Boulevard. PHOTO: 351 MARIN
  • The RWJBarnabas Health Field of Dreams, a first-of-its-kind inclusive complex created for 11-year-old Gavin Kane and individuals with special needs, opened with a celebration and official ribbon cutting on April 30 in Toms River. From left, Toms River Mayor Maurice Hill, Toms River Police Chief Mitchell Little, RWJBarnabas Health CEO Barry Ostrowsky, co-founder Christian Kane, Gavin Kane, co-founder Mary Kane, Toms River Field of Dreams Board President Michael Ritacco, Kane family friend Michelle Minnelli, and former MLB All-Star Todd Fraizer.
  • Toms River donated the 3.5-acre parcel of land for the complex; further support came from community partners, including Ocean Orthopedic Associates. The RWJBarnabas Health Field of Dreams features a baseball field, basketball court, 9-hole miniature golf course, bocce and a playground area designed to be more accessible for wheelchairs and adaptive equipment. Other features include a walking path with rehabilitative stations, a “quiet corner” located in a three-sided enclosed pavilion for those with autism, bathrooms with multiple electric changing stations to fully accommodate the special needs community, a temperature-controlled pavilion, strategically placed outlets that serve as wheel-chair recharging stations, and more.
  • The Hyatt Regency Morristown, located in the center of Headquarters Plaza, held a ribbon cutting at the end of April to officially unveil a multimillion renovation that transformed guestrooms, meeting spaces, dining venues and more. “The renovation was thoughtfully designed by Gensler ... to incorporate the unique and rich history of our local area. The newly renovated property features a modern colonial theme, which can be observed throughout all aspects of the property,” said General Manager Jeff Babcock. “We can’t wait to introduce the reimagined Hyatt Regency Morristown experience to both travelers and the local community.” From left David Silva, Nathan Umbriac, Sandi Mayer, Babock, Tim Dougherty, Seth Schochet, Brian Fisher and Casey Fisher.
  • The communities of Plainsboro and Princeton recently celebrated the grand opening of Town Square, a 13,000-square-foot, 50s-themed adult day enrichment center that aims to enhance and improve the lives of older adults, including those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The concept – which features a “town” with distinctive storefronts and experiences – invites members to purposefully participate and encourages socialization. The facility includes a 1950s-era diner, golden age movies at the Starlite Theater, a library, an art studio, recreation room, garage with vintage car, newsstand and music room all arranged around Glenner Park, the heart of Town Square.
