  • The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey awarded $87,500 in academic scholarships to seven students June 9 to help them pursue higher education and careers in construction and engineering, while also honoring the legacy of respected industry leaders. Since 2014, ACCNJ has awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships to 117 students pursuing higher education. This year, the ACCNJ Foundation Scholarship was awarded to six children or grandchildren of ACCNJ member employees: Annaliese Manus, Arianna D’Amore; Nicholas Del Vescovo; Samantha Ferretti; Catalina Maglicic and Grayson Petrie. Andrew Couto received the John F. Donohoe Scholarship, awarded annually to a college sophomore or junior enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program. - PROVIDED BY ACCNJ
  • On June 10, AMC Eatontown hosted the New Jersey advance screening of Disclosure Day, presented by ChooseNJ. Before the film started, Jon Crowley, executive director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and TV Commission, shared several details about the film's extensive production within New Jersey — 24 days of filming across 10 towns in the state. From left, Crowley and Choose New Jersey President and CEO Amy Herbold. - PROVIDED BY SAMMY STEINLIGHT
  • Greek Real Estate Partners Managing Partner David Greek, fifth from left, was honored at the 35th Annual Labor, Construction & Real Estate Awards Dinner, hosted June 11 by the Patriots’ Path Council at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott. The annual awards dinner brings together leaders from the labor, construction and commercial real estate industries to recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership, community engagement and long-term contributions to economic growth across the region. Greek was honored for advancing industrial development, infrastructure advocacy and economic growth, as well as for a sustained commitment to community. Proceeds from the event support the council’s mission to develop future leaders through Scouting programs. - PROVIDED BY GREEK REAL ESTATE PARTNERS
  • Hundreds of soccer fans of all ages tested their skills at two simulators at Bridgewater Commons’ Center Court June 20, surrounded by flags of nations participating in FIFA World Cup 2026. “Goal Zone @ The Commons,” a free, interactive soccer experience, also included live-streamed matches, a DJ playing international tunes, and center partners and restaurants. Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão created a special tasting menu; The Party Shop gave away complimentary soccer-inspired balloon sculptures; and Iron Peak Sports & Events offered a six-month Birdie membership prize at the Tee Box Golf House. Macy’s, Champs Sports and Lids featured official tournament apparel and accessories, while specialty retailers including the LEGO Store, Pop Mart, Pandora and Build-A-Bear Workshop showcased soccer-inspired collectibles and gifts. - PROVIDED BY BRIDGEWATER COMMONS
  • The Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain capped off a nine-state, 15-amusement park tour in the U.S. with a grand finale visit to Hope's Land of Make Believe June 21. The group's 38th anniversary tour started in Boston and took them through Pennsylvania, Ohio and more. The club’s ages span 20 to 80 years old. The Land of Make Believe was the only amusement park visited in New Jersey. Group founder and Chairman Andy Hine noted that the itinerary for the club typically includes about eight well known large amusement parks, but also several surprises along the way. This year, The Land of Make Believe delivered one of those surprises. - PROVIDED BY THE LAND OF MAKE BELIEVE
