Toy and collectibles seller Pop Mart will join the retail mix at Freehold Raceway Mall.

The retailer plans to open next month at the Macerich-owned shopping center along Route 9. The store will feature a colorful, interactive layout aimed at both dedicated collectors and casual shoppers.

Founded in 2010 in China, Pop Mart collaborates with entertainment giants, artists and brands to develop consumer products, such as collectible blind boxes, themed toy collections and special edition figures. Its partners include Disney, Warner Bros., Hello Kitty, Harry Potter and Labubu.

Pop Mart’s global footprint spans 550 stores and 2,500 vending machines, known as “Robo Shops.” The company also reaches over 90 nations through its e-commerce platform.

Within the U.S., the chain has 65 brick-and-mortar stores and 120 Robo Shops. Pop Mart made its New Jersey debut in September 2023 at American Dream in East Rutherford.  The brand also launched locations in Bridgewater, Cherry Hill and Elizabeth.

Commenting on the launch, Freehold Raceway Mall Senior Property Manager Frank Lucia said, “We’re excited to welcome Pop Mart … and introduce this dynamic brand to our community.”
