Popular seafood truck opens first storefront in Jersey City

Angry Archie’s, a popular seafood truck, recently opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in its hometown of Jersey City.

Located at 565 Palisades Ave., the storefront offers the same menu as the food truck and is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 8 p.m.

Customers can place orders online for pickup or arrange for delivery via Uber Eats.

Launched in 2015 by Chris Curado and his cousin Michael Ponte, Angry Archie’s is known for its jumbo lump crab cakes, fresh lobster rolls, lobster mac & cheese and crab poutine.

Over the years, Ponte, Curado and Curado’s mother, Carmela Sebastiano, have taken Archie’s to the peak of the food truck scene in North Jersey and beyond. The family-owned business took home top honors at the Food Truck Mash Up at the Meadowlands in 2016 and the East Hanover Food Truck Festival in 2017.

Along with expanding its fleet of trucks, in 2018, Archie’s added a pop-up location at 200 Harborside in Jersey City for lunchtime.
