Popular burger chain Shake Shack is opening a new outpost in Jersey City.
Located in the dining pavilion at Newport Centre, the restaurant is scheduled to open Nov. 30 following a 10:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting event.
Shake Shack will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Additionally, in keeping with the company’s larger mission of giving back, Shake Shack said it will donate $1 from every burger or sandwich sold on opening day at the Newport Centre location to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey — one of the state’s leading anti-hunger and anti-poverty organizations.
Founded 18 years ago by restaurateur Danny Meyer in New York City’s Madison Square Park, Shake Shack is known for its hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as shakes and custard floats. It boasts more than 370 locations domestically and internationally.
Within the Garden State, Shake Shack has outposts in Paramus, Edison, Bridgewater, Cherry Hill, Eatontown, Hoboken, Livingston, Marlton, Wall Township, Parsippany, Ridgefield, Lawrence Township and Wayne.
Shake Shake joins a growing list of more than 30 dining options at Newport Centre, including Chick-fil-A, Kings of Kobe, Panera Bread, Roboburger, The Cheesecake Factory, Obox Sushi and Dosa Spot.
According to Shake Shack, hiring efforts are continuing for the new restaurant, and positions offer competitive pay and benefits. Click here for more information.
