Two of New Jersey’s top communications strategists, Daniel Bryan and Eric Shuffler, have launched Resolve Strategic Communications. The Edison-based firm focuses on public affairs, PR and high-stakes strategic communications.
Resolve will advise clients across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. It will offer messaging, crisis communications, media relations and integrated public affairs campaigns. The firm says it will put an emphasis on how decisions actually get made in political and stakeholder settings.
The firm operates in strategic partnership with River Crossing Strategy Group, which Shuffler leads.
“We live in a rapidly evolving policy and economic environment,” said Bryan, managing partner of the firm. “Resolve Strategic Communications will help organizations communicate effectively within the ever-changing public affairs landscape, combining strong messaging, strategic thinking, and disciplined execution to help clients achieve their goals.”
Bryan brings experience from senior roles in New Jersey government and political campaigns. He served as a top communications adviser to Gov. Phil Murphy as well as played a key role in his gubernatorial campaigns.
Founding partner Shuffler is a longtime New Jersey public policy and government figure. He brings experience at both the state and federal levels, including senior advisory roles to governors and a U.S. senator, along with extensive work in policy, advocacy and crisis response. He also serves as president and co-owner of the Staten Island FerryHawks, a professional minor league baseball team.
“The next phase of communications isn’t about better messaging — it’s about alignment with how decisions actually get made,” said Shuffler. “Resolve was built on that premise: combining communications strategy with a real understanding of what drives policymaker behavior, so clients can advocate more effectively and achieve actual results.”
The firm also hired Toral Patel, who previously worked in Gov. Murphy’s communications office. She brings experience in state government messaging and digital engagement.
“Communications is constantly evolving in today’s media landscape,” said Patel. “I look forward to helping our clients shape strategies that reflect the moment while positioning them for what’s ahead. I’m thrilled to join Resolve Strategic Communications and excited to be at the helm of work that drives meaningful impact for our clients.”
Resolve said it will continue building out its team as it expands operations.
