The reinstated non-stop service will begin on May 20 and will operate Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until Aug. 31. SAS will operate 46 non-stop flights per week from the United States to Scandinavia this summer, including 11 weekly flights between Newark and Copenhagen, and daily service between Newark and Stockholm.

“Demand is growing on U.S. routes, and in particular, New York,” says Sveneric Persson, a SAS vice president. “The new service will be the last flight of the day from Newark to Europe. We know late flights are popular with many travelers.”

The new flight will operate with Airbus A340-300 aircraft with 245 seats in three cabins.
