The New Jersey Artificial Intelligence Hub announced the 14 startups comprising the first cohort of its NJ AI Hub Accelerator, powered by Plug and Play. The program aims to scale early-stage artificial intelligence companies and strengthen the state’s innovation ecosystem.
As NJBIZ previously reported, the accelerator launched last month as part of a broader push to position New Jersey as a hub for AI development.
Based in West Windsor, the program connects startups and university-affiliated entrepreneurs with mentors, investors and corporate partners. The initiative leverages the Plug and Play global network of more than 100,000 startups, 550 corporate partners and 60 innovation hubs worldwide.

NJ AI Hub Executive Director Liat Krawczyk emphasized the significance. “The NJ AI Hub Accelerator is a major step toward cementing New Jersey as a global center for innovation. Through this partnership with Plug and Play, we’ll unlock new technologies, forge powerful collaborations, and move AI breakthroughs from concept to real-world impact,” she said.
Tyler Lange, director of Plug and Play New Jersey, said his organization is incredibly excited to support local companies shaping the future of AI. “The region is home to an expanding ecosystem of innovators, and we’re proud to help accelerate their impact by connecting them with the resources, partners, and opportunities they need to grow. Together, we’re strengthening and scaling New Jersey’s AI ecosystem.”
The program is delivered in partnership with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. NJEDA leaders also highlighted the broader economic impact.
“The NJ AI Hub Accelerator at the NJ AI Hub will help foster cutting-edge research, create jobs, and drive meaningful economic growth across the state,” said Evan Weiss, CEO, New Jersey Economic Development Authority. “New Jersey’s robust investments into AI are positioning us as a leader in the industry, while driving innovation forward and keeping us economically competitive.”

The inaugural group is largely made up of New Jersey- and New York-based startups. Participants span industries such as healthcare, financial services, climate tech and enterprise software.
Founded by partners including NJEDA, Princeton University, Microsoft and CoreWeave, the NJ AI Hub is designed to advance AI research and commercialization while supporting workforce development and startup growth across the state.
