St. Joseph’s Health waives copays and deductibles for federal workers

St. Joseph’s Health announced they will waive deductibles and copays for all services rendered in the emergency department for furloughed federal employees and their dependents to help support those affected by the government shutdown.
This action, effective immediately, applies to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center.
“For more than 150 years, our mission has been to care for the most vulnerable in our communities,” said Kevin Slavin, president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health, in a statement.
“We owe it to federal workers and their families facing financial hardship to ensure that they have access to high quality, affordable care.”
Holy Name Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health, RWJBarnabas Health and Atlantic Health have announced that they will also waive copays for furloughed federal employees.
