Last filing season, under the program covering the 2019 tax year, more than 1.7 million renters and homeowners applied for and received an ANCHOR rebate ranging from $450 to $1,500.

On Aug. 15, the Department of Treasury began mailing letters to the more than 1.3 million taxpayers who received a payment through the ANCHOR program last year, informing them that they will not – in most circumstances – have to refile an application to receive this year’s payment.
