TechLaunch, a Clifton-based technology acceleration in November accepted applications for its LaunchPad, a 16-week boot camp-style business training program for tech start-ups.Caktus, who relocated to New Jersey from Finland to participate in the LaunchPad program has just closed a $200,000 investment led by Kima Ventures, a European VC company which invests in over 100 startups each year.

According to the announcement, Caktus’ mission is to help people feel, perform and live better by coaching them toward optimal hydration. The Hug, the company’s hybrid hardware/software solution automatically tracks drinking frequency through an iOS device, the announcement said.

Caktus is preparing to show off their new mobile application at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February.

Wall-based BIO-key International Inc. and InterDigital Inc. will also introduce and demonstrate at the MWC InterDigital’s multi-factor authentication solution incorporating BIO-key’s fingerprint authentication for the Android mobile platform.
