Residents first started calling home back in March when occupancy launched at the offering in ‘s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood.

Now, the building at 89 Monitor St. is 65% leased, according to an announcement made earlier this week by developers Alpine Residential and FieldsGrade.

The Marketing Directors serves as exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the six-story building, which offers a mix of studio to two-bedroom residences; a full suite of indoor and outdoor amenities with social considerations in mind; and a location with access to culture, dining, entertainment and more. Leasing at the property kicked off in February.

According to the developers, the milestone speaks to the “sophisticated urban lifestyle” The Hazel offers residents, spurred by the opportunity for prospective renters to see all the property has to offer for themselves.

“It’s no secret amenities play a significant role in a renter’s decision in Jersey City’s highly competitive apartment market,” said Alpine Residential Managing Partner Bill Rosato in a May 23 statement.

“The development group has deep roots in Bergen-Lafayette and we utilized experience and extensive market research to create an amenity package that not only provides the exact kind of leisure time today’s renter expects, but also creates a stylish and inviting atmosphere that strongly encourages social interaction,” he said, adding: “And we’re not done yet. We will debut our rooftop terrace with barbecues and mist station shortly.”

The Hazel is managed by the developer’s affiliated management company, South Oxford Management. Net-effective monthly rents start at $2,240 with a limited-time incentive of up to one-and-a-half months free on select lease terms.
