, an facility, has relocated its New Point Renal Dialysis Center to an 8,500-square-foot facility in Elizabeth.

Now at the new Medical Arts Building at 200 Williamson St., Suite 210, the center offers 19 stations to accommodate 108 dialysis and hemodialysis patients, according to a July 15 announcement.

According to RWJBarnabas, each station at the new dialysis center has:

  • A recliner with heat and massage features;
  • A 40-inch TV to watch during treatment; and
  • A “T” BlueStar Fresenius hemodialysis machine, as well as one with an isolation machine.

Trinitas Regional also provides dialysis services at locations in Cranford and Linden.

Renal Director Ruby Codjoe called the move to the state-of-the-art facility “a long time coming.” An RWJBarnabas representative told NJBIZ that the dialysis unit’s previous address was 629 Livingston St., also in Elizabeth.

Improving outcomes

Dr. James McAnally is a nephrologist with Trinitas Regional. He advised that “early diagnosis [of kidney disease] and intervention is the key to a higher quality of life.”

McAnally shared that the provider’s THRIVE (The High Risk-Intervention Via Education) program aims to “not only to slow the progression of kidney disease, but also to educate patients on treatment options, to improve compliance and outcomes, and to help them adjust to dialysis.”

Trinitas Regional also provides treatment for patients with end stage renal disease, offering hemodialysis. That procedure uses an artificial kidney to remove waste and fluid from the body.

The New Point Renal Dialysis Center is located at the new Medical Arts Building, Suite 210, 200 Williamson St., in Elizabeth.
