Convenience store chain Wawa wants to be known for more than just its coffee and hoagies.
After the company began rolling out pizza at select stores last month, the Pennsylvania-headquartered brand said the new addition is now available in more than 900 of its locations across the Mid-Atlantic and Florida.
In announcing the official launch of Wawa Pizza, Mary-Rose Hannum, vice president of fresh food & beverage, said the chain is “absolutely thrilled” to give customers “another delicious dinner meal option to pair with our expansive selection of other fresh-to-order foods, snacks, drinks and more.”
“Pizza is one of the most beloved foods in America, so we couldn’t be more excited to make it a part of Wawa’s fast-casual-to-go offering and create a restaurant-like experience with our high-quality ingredients, great value, and the convenience we’re known for. It’s officially a pizza night at Wawa!” she said.
Over the past year, Wawa has added several new items to its dinner menu, including a burger and fries, salads, sides and crispy chicken.
The pizza comes in two size options – 14 inches or 16 inches – with prices starting at $12.99 per pie. The dishes can be ordered via in-store touchscreens or through the Wawa app.

While the majority of Wawa stores are offering full-size pizzas, a select number of stores are offering only a special, personal-size pizza, according to the chain.
The made-to-order meals feature fresh dough, proprietary sauce and whole milk mozzarella and are baked in dedicated pizza ovens that have been added to most Wawa stores.
Currently, Wawa is offering several pizza varieties, including: plain, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and veggie — with expanded options to come in the future.
Wawa Pizza will be available from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. in stores that are open 24 hours, according to the chain.
Wawa currently operates more than 1,000 locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C. Within New Jersey, the chain has been busy growing its 260-plus-store footprint as part of a broader expansion effort, with grand openings planned this summer in Ocean Township, Hamilton, Linden, Clementon, Mount Laurel and Neptune.
