After unveiling its first physical restaurants last year in Westfield, Hoboken and Springfield, the Cranford-based venture started by entrepreneur Marc Lore brought its “fast fine” food concept to Cresskill and Midland Park.

In Cresskill – which opened Jan. 31 at 1 Union Ave. – the network of partnering establishments includes: Alanza Pizza, Royal Greens, Di Fara Pizza, Fred’s Meat & Bread, Burger Baby, Room For Dessert, Tejas Barbecue, Mainstay, Blue Apron and Bobby Flay Steak.

Wonder’s location at 80 Godwin Ave. in Midland Park began serving customers Jan. 27. Available menus include: Alanza Pizza, Bobby Flay Steak, Burger Baby, Fred’s Meat & Bread, Limesalt, Maydan, Room For Dessert, Tejas Barbecue, Mainstay by Marc Murphy, Wing Trip, Yasas, Blue Apron, Royal Greens, Barrio Café, Chai Pani, Chios Taverna, Jota, Mr. D’s, Di Fara Pizza and Table No. 1.

Originally founded as a business based on mobile kitchens that prepared celebrity chef-designed meals outside of customers’ homes, Lore announced in January 2023 the company was rethinking its approach. Instead, Wonder pivoted to focus on physical locations, offering options from restaurants it has licensing deals with.

Since then, the brand has opened five eateries in New York City (Upper West Side, Chelsea, Downtown Brooklyn, Upper East Side and Park Slope) and three in New Jersey. At the stores, customers can order from multiple restaurants at once for delivery, pick-up or dining in.

Wonder has plans to add more outposts this spring, in Teterboro and Roxbury Township. The company also expects to open another restaurant in New York’s East Village as well as make its Pennsylvania debut in Quakertown.
