Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a popular Mexican-fusion chain founded in Point Pleasant, is continuing to expand across the Garden State.
Located at 9 Franklin Turnpike in Mahwah, the new restaurant offers the brand’s signature fast-casual fare, such as burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and salads, all of which are customizable with over a dozen protein options. The outlet held its grand opening Dec. 17.
The new eatery is the ninth location owned and operated by franchisee partners Sagu Patel, Amar Patel, Perry Patel and Fenil Patel.
“It’s no secret that I love the Bubbakoo’s brand,” said Perry, who with his partners opened their first Bubbakoo’s restaurant in 2018. “There is no other concept out there that offers what we do—high quality, unique and customizable menu options that ‘wow’ our customers every time. Over the years we’ve created a community of loyal fans at each of my existing locations, and I’m ecstatic to do the same in Mahwah.”
Founded by Paul Altero and Bill Hart in 2008, Bubbakoo’s has expanded to almost 100 locations across 10 states to become one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country. New Jersey is home to 51 Bubbakoo’s restaurants.
“Bubbakoo’s was built on creating an impeccable restaurant experience for our guests, and that starts with dedicated owners like the Patels,” said Altero. “[All] of their locations are outstanding examples of what the brand stands for, and they deliver great food each and every time.”
Bukkaboo’s Mahwah restaurant is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
