Campbell Soup Co. recently recognized and celebrated organizations that made a significant positive impact in its hometown of Camden.
During an annual networking breakfast Oct. 27, the company, along with the Campbell Soup Foundation, presented Campbells Cares awards and financial grants to four organizations: Camden City School District, School Nutrition Department, UrbanPromise, Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center and the New Jersey Tree Foundation.
“We’re proud to support and partner with so many outstanding organizations in Camden,” said Kate Barrett, president, Campbell Soup Foundation and director, Community Affairs. “These organizations provide critical resources and services in our hometown and support the Camden community in so many ways. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients who are making significant impacts in the city.”
Founded in 1953, the Campbell Soup Foundation provides financial support to local organizations that inspire positive change with an emphasis on Camden. In Fiscal Year 2022, the employee-run foundation gave over $2 million to communities, including $926,000 to groups in Camden.
