Eataly Short Hills launches summer tiramisu, wine events

Dining and grocery concept Eataly is kicking off the summer with a monthlong celebration of Italian food and drinks at its Short Hills outpost.

Scheduled to run through June 29, Tiramisu Fest will celebrate the iconic dessert by offering unique limited-time flavors (limoncello, espresso martini and peanut salted caramel) and new fusions (tiramisu gelato, tiramisu cannoli and tiramisu cappuccino).

Guests can also participate in a chef-led cooking class on how to whip up their own tiramisu at home.

Between June 9–15, will showcase fine Italian wines with its Vino Days promotion. In addition to discounts (10% off three bottles and 20% off six or more bottles), there will be special tastings, curated events and workshops, such as a June 12 wine and food pairing.

Founded 18 years ago in Turin, Italy, Eataly houses grocery shops and restaurants offering dine-in services and grab-and-go options of high-quality yet affordable traditional Italian fare with a twist. It currently has over 50 locations worldwide, 13 of which are in North America.

The 17,000-square-foot space features a 230-seat restaurant, a quick-service area and a retail section with imported and regional delicacies. Its counter service options include:

  • Caffe Lavazza – an all-day café featuring Lavazza coffee drinks
  • La Pasticceria – cakes, croissants and other baked goods
  • Il Gelato – gelato and sorbetto creations
  • Pizza alla Pala – a variety of Roman-style pizza
  • Panini – focaccia, panini and farcita

 

At the marketplace, shoppers will find hundreds of high-quality, Italian products and peak-season produce from local farms. There’s also sections dedicated to salumi and formaggi, fresh pasta, baked goods, mozzarella, pasta, olive oil, sweets and housewares.

Eataly Short Hills also hosts classes, events and special dinners related to Italian cooking and culture.
