The basics:

A burger and craft beer concept inspired by the history of The Ford Motor Co. is coming to New Jersey.

As part of a multi-unit development deal with The Intregritty Group, Ford’s Garage expects to launch three restaurants locally.

Founded in 2012 by a group of restaurateurs near Henry Ford’s former winter home in Florida, the 1920s service-station themed chain offers classic American comfort food served by staff dressed as mechanics in a dining room filled with vintage automotive décor.

As the only restaurant brand with an official Ford licensing agreement, Ford’s Garage pays homage to classic car culture with an immersive, family-friendly experience.

Since franchising began 10 years ago, the brand has grown to more than 30 outposts across eight states. As part of a larger expansion push, Ford’s Garage aims to add 10 to 15 restaurants annually in new markets including New Jersey, New York, Texas and Michigan.

More to come

According to Ford’s Garage, TIG’s first site will launch in the fourth quarter of 2026 at Menlo Park Mall in Edison.

For its two other Ford’s Garage units, the group said it strategically targeting the entire state “to ensure broad accessibility.” Additional details were not provided.

The first Ford’s Garage location in N.J. will be at Menlo Park Mall in Edison:

Based in Pennsylvania, TIG boasts 60-plus restaurants in five states under such names as Dave’s Hot Chicken, Qdoba, Checkers & Rally’s and The Greene Turtle.

In New Jersey, it operates nearly two dozen Qdoba stores. After an Aug. 29 grand opening in Secaucus, the group expects to bring the brand to Linden, Marlton, Hamilton and Fort Dix.

TIG also plans to open a Dave’s Hot Chicken on Route 202 in Flemington soon, according to its website.

Jiger Patel of TIG said, “We’re always looking to partner with brands we genuinely believe in, and Ford’s Garage checked all the boxes. We love that it’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. The vintage Ford-themed décor, the focus on quality ingredients, and the brand’s dedication to community made it an easy decision.

“We think New Jersey is craving something bold, welcoming, and somewhere families, friends, and neighbors can gather,” Patel continued. “We’re incredibly proud to be the group that brings it to our home state.”

Dave Ragosa, vice president of franchise sales and development at Ford’s Garage, said the company is thrilled to welcome TIG.

“They have the perfect mix of operational expertise, market knowledge, and passion for hospitality that makes them an ideal partner. Their track record speaks for itself, and we’re confident they’re the perfect partners to help bring Ford’s Garage to life in New Jersey in a way that truly resonates with the local community,” he said.
