With an advisory board stacked with familiar faces – featuring former Gov. Chris Christie, former U.S. Sen. Jeff Chiesa and former New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino – MAD Global Strategy from CEO and founder Mike DuHaime has expanded its reach into another new state.
The Summit-based public affairs firm announced Oct. 17 it set up operations in Pennsylvania, along with adding two new team members.
Leading the new Pittsburgh location, Frank Buonomo joins the firm having worked in senior communications and operations roles for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers and Dollar Bank, which operates in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Virginia.

“Frank Buonomo is a true communications professional and a person of the highest integrity, and we are lucky to have him join our firm,” said DuHaime, a four-year teammate of Buonomo on the Rutgers University hockey team. “His unique and diverse experience is a tremendous asset to our growing team.”
“With operations in New Jersey and Ohio, this is the perfect opportunity for growth for the company here in the Keystone State,” Buonomo said.
MAD Global expanded its footprint to Ohio in June.
In the Garden State, Borough of Mountain Lakes Councilwoman Audrey Lane also joined the firm, bringing with her more than 20 years experience as an elected official, political and policy professional, and communications specialist at Hearst Magazines and others, according to the firm.
“MAD Global has attracted some of the best in the public affairs business. I am excited to join such a talented team and help advance the company’s continued growth,” she said in a statement.
