A collection of your photos from the fun, fruitful, charitable, honorable and miscellaneous happenings in the New Jersey business community.

  • Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, public officials and DMR Architects Director of Design and Partner Kurt Vierheilig joined developers Irwin Nudelman and Charles Avery June 29 to celebrate the construction of Building 4 of The Grande at Metropark, a four-building community that will bring an additional 124 units to the area. Altogether, it will feature 356 residences and lifestyle amenities including an interior rooftop courtyard with outdoor movie theater and an electric car charging station. From left, Councilwoman Sharon McAuliffe; Woodbridge Director of Planning and Development Marta Lefsky; Deputy Director of the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency Heather Lamotta; Executive Director for the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency Caroline Ehrlich; McCormac; Charles Avery, The Grande at Metropark; Irwin Nudelman, The Grande at Metropark and Vierheilig.
  • Pennsauken-based MHS Life recently announced two Camden residents as the 2022 recipients of its MHS Lift Scholarship Fund—a full scholarship to Rowan University: Sisters Emani Baines, 23, and Essence Holman, 19, will both start classes in the fall. Established in 2019 in partnership with Rowan, the fund is awarded to Camden students who are active in the Boys & Girls Club of Camden County and have demonstrated financial need. From left, MHS Vice President Brett Levin, Baines, Holman and MHS President Andy Levin pose with Rowan garb to celebrate the news.
  • Boutique marketing and public relations agency Suasion Communications Group is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2022. The N.J.-certified, women-owned small business is based in Somers Point and Haddonfield. It was founded by President Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, pictured centered surrounded by the Suasion team, who purchased the agency she had been working for, revamping, restructuring and rebranding it as Suasion in August 2007. Since then, the firm has been recognized with over 25 accolades, including 10 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Awards, five HSMAI Adrian Awards, three PR Daily Awards, a Bulldog Award, and more.
  • The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County raised a combined total of $148,000 at its June 9 “Help Us Fill The Community Chest” gala, held at the Montammy Golf Club in Alpine and a golf outing – the group’s second – at White Beeches Golf and Country Club in Haworth. Proceeds will go toward providing grants to nonprofit organizations responding to increased needs and services in the wake of COVID-19. At the gala, Valley Bank received the Corporate Philanthropy Award. • Community Medical Center (CMC), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, welcomed its second class of resident physicians with a long coat ceremony July 6. The group consists of 12 residents in Internal Medicine, 13 in Emergency Medicine, three in Podiatry and four in General Surgery—a new area of training offered for the first time this year. Here, Dr. Cristina Rodriguez Andujar, Internal Medicine, receives her lab coat from Dr. Nelson Okoh, Internal Medicine, during the 2022 Long Coat Ceremony at CMC in Toms River.
  • Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and Councilwoman Denise Ridley, center, joined principals of development partners Alpine Residential and FieldsGrade June 30 to cut a ceremonial ribbon marking the completion of The Hazel, a 114-unit, boutique luxury rental building located at 89 Monitor St. in the Bergen Lafayette neighborhood. The event took place in the Sky Lounge and outdoor, landscaped roof deck—with views of the Manhattan skyline in the background.
