  • DM AIRPORTS LTD., operators of Morristown Airport (KMMU), hosted its third annual “High School Aviation Day” April 30 with over 250 students from 10 area high schools in attendance. The event, held at a hangar on the airfield, provided a hands-on learning experience where students explored various aviation career paths through demonstrations, aircraft displays, and interactions with industry experts. Participating vendors who were available to meet with students to discuss potential career paths included: DM AIRPORTS; Signature Flight Support; Atlantic Aviation; Warren County Community College; U.S. Customs & Border Protection New York Office; New Jersey State Police, Certified Flyers, Delta Airport Consultants; FAA Air Traffic Control; Aviation Institute of Maintenance and World Fuel Services. - PROVIDED DM AIRPORTS LTD
  • Jim Kirkos, Meadowlands Chamber and Meadowlands Live Convention Visitors Bureau president and CEO, was honored by the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association as the 2025 winner of the prestigious Jim Whelan Memorial Tourism Award.   • The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce recently honored the recipients of the 2025 Hunterdon County Business Awards during breakfast celebration April 16 at Razberry’s Banquet Center in Frenchtown.   • Boardwalk Tram Tours, Atlantic City’s luxury transportation and immersive experience provider, announced April 13 the launch of its new signature attraction — a one-of-a-kind tram tour experience — with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new tram tour, founded by local personality and Atlantic City advocate Mike “AC Mike” Lopez, is a journey through the heart, history and horizon of the seaside destination.   • The County of Bergen joined local leaders in Englewood to celebrate new improvements at Flat Rock Nature Center—made possible through a 2024 Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund grant. Flat Rock Nature Center received a $195,000 grant to support major upgrades to the community park, including a new outdoor classroom, modern playground and a scenic picnic area along Jones Road. The improvements focus on nature-centered learning and recreation, featuring native plantings, interactive educational spaces and amenities designed for families to enjoy the outdoors together.   • University Hospital Foundation raised $185,000 to support the work of University Hospital’s Cardiac Care team during the 4th annual Toast & Tribute event held at The Highlawn in West Orange April 10. Since 2022, Toast & Tribute has raised funds for critical University Hospital initiatives including patient assistance programs and free breast cancer screenings for uninsured women. - PROVIDED BY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
