A collection of your photos from the fun, fruitful, charitable, honorable and miscellaneous happenings in the New Jersey business community.

  • Blue Foundry Bank celebrated the opening of its new branch at 334 Washington St. in Hoboken Sept. 14. The location features a contemporary, open design created by DMR Architects. On the occasion, the Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation also provided grants to community organizations Hoboken Community Center, The Hoboken Shelter and True Mentors. Pictured from left, Vito Bari, business development banker; Fernanda Tomazelli, universal banker II; Elizabeth Miller, executive vice president/chief retail officer; Trevor Taylor, vice president/regional market manager; Jim Nesci, president and CEO; Mayor of Hoboken Ravi Bhalla; Hudson County Freeholder Anthony Romano; Juan Reyes, assistant branch manager; and Robert Slowikowski, commercial real estate team leader.
  • Columbia Bank recently received a national Bank Customer Experience Award for “Best Branch Experience.” The BCX Awards honor financial institutions and technology providers whose branches and services have the most impact on consumers. According to a 2021 survey of more than 7,000 customers, Columbia said 91% of clients rated the bank’s branch experience as “excellent.” The bank was also recognized for its non-traditional use of branches, including their modern designs and interactive digital product placemats and use for hosting community events, in addition to Columbia’s Customer Service Representative Certification program. From left, Bradley Cooper of Networld Media Group, Allison Winters of Columbia Bank and Cherryh Cansler of Networld Media Group pose during the awards presentation Aug. 31 at a special ceremony held at the Bank Customer Experience Summit in Chicago.
  • Kearny Bank donated to The Valerie Fund, a Maplewood-based organization that provides support to children with cancer and blood disorders, for the second year in a row. From left, Leah Del Piano, The Valerie Fund event fundraising manager; Dawn Marcano, Kearny Bank 2nd vice president/private client manager; and Mike Gambatese, Kearny Bank vice president/business relationship officer pose with a check representing the institution’s $7,500 donation. A team of employees from the bank – led by Marco and Gambatese as captains – also took part in a Sept. 17 The Valerie Fund 5K Walk/Run fundraiser in Verona.
  • Nearly 80 employees from Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s New York and New Jersey offices prepared and packed 1,000 weekend food bags for Newark schoolchildren as part of the law firm’s efforts to battle food insecurity. The firm partnered with Blessing in a Backpack to hold the Pack for Purpose event Sept. 14 at its Roseland headquarters. During August and September, Mandelbaum Barrett’s charitable foundation donated more than $3,500 and received another $4,000 in online donations from employees, clients and friends of the firm to purchase the food.
  • Executives from Larken Associates were joined by Bordentown Township Mayor Steve Benowitz and township officials Sept. 18 to celebrate the ribbon cutting for The Reserve at Crosswicks, a 272-unit luxury multifamily community located at 8000 Bowery Lane in Bordentown. The Reserve at Crosswicks features three four-story elevator buildings with one- and two-bedroom apartments, four three-story garden apartment buildings comprised of one- and two-bedroom units, and a community club house, pictured here.
  • Seton Hall University Center for Sports Media honored Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts with a Lifetime Professional Achievement Award at a gala held at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City Sept. 15. The event brought together more than 160 media professionals, business executives and alumni to celebrate. The Center launched last fall following a $2 million gift from sports journalist and alumnus Bob Ley. Here, Roberts accepts her award with Ley, executive founder of the Center for Sports Media. <br />
