With Florida emerging as one of the fastest-growing states in the U.S. for franchising, Westville-based PrimoHoagies is eager to bring its popular sandwiches to the Sunshine State.

In a move to spur additional development in the state, the fast casual brand attended Franchise Expo South, a regional trade show held Sept. 8 and 9 in Fort Lauderdale that brought together more than 200 of the hottest concepts in franchising across a range of industries and investment levels.

Currently, PrimoHoagies has stores in Fort Lauderdale, Naples and Tallahassee, as well as spots coming soon to Stuart and Gainesville.

Founded 30 years ago in Philadelphia, the chain is popular for its diverse menu featuring specialty sandwiches made with high-quality meats and cheeses piled high on fresh-baked rolls.

After reaching the 100-location milestone earlier this year, the fast casual says it expects to have at least 120 stores open by the end of 2023. Future restaurants include at least three more in New Jersey, including in Glassboro, Linden and Morristown.

As part of a larger growth strategy, PrimoHoagies aims to add 300 to 350 new stores within the next five years and is actively seeking prospective franchisees in 25 states across the U.S.

Nicholas Papanier Jr., owner, president and chief executive officer, said, “Participating at Franchise Expo South is more than just showcasing our brand; it’s about opening doors to new opportunities that fuel our growth journey. It’s where PrimoHoagies takes center stage – attracting partners, customers and possibilities – allowing us to continue our relentless pursuit of excellence.”
