SportsMed is continuing to expand across the region.

The Glen Rock-based multi-disciplinary health care provider launched its new clinic in Riverdale. Now it has a combined 45 facilities open in New Jersey and Connecticut.

Located at 44 Route 23, offers a range of services including:

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational/hand therapy
  • Chiropractic care
  • Acupuncture services
  • Pelvic floor physical therapy

For those who are unable to travel to a clinic, SportsMed’s home care division provides outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services directly in patients’ homes.

SportsMed was founded in 2004. The practice offers a range of rehabilitative therapies with a focus on patient-centered outcomes and long-term wellness. Since partnering with New York City private equity firm Hildred Capital Management in 2018, the practice has grown from seven clinics.

Within New Jersey, the chain’s footprint of 42 locations spans Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic and Union counties.

SportsMed CEO Peter Ponzini remarked, “As we celebrate our continued growth in 2025, I am proud to announce the opening of our newest clinic in Riverdale. Each new location reflects our commitment to expanding access to exceptional care and serving more communities with clinical excellence.”

Days after opening in Riverdale, SportsMed boosted its Morris County presence further with the acquisition of Mendham Physical Therapy in Mendham. According to SportsMed, the Mendham clinic will continue to serve the community using SportsMed’s full suite of rehabilitative services.
