A treatment center brand for addiction and mental health support backed by “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is expanding beyond New Jersey.
After officially launching last fall in Tinton Falls, Archangel Centers expects to add five facilities over the next year.
The rollout includes a July 2026 grand opening in Matthews, N.C., as well as sites in Florida and Nevada. Archangel Centers will also unveil a second New Jersey location soon in East Windsor.
Founded in partnership with Ascend Behavioral Health Network, Archangel Centers provides comprehensive care for adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues and concurrent disorders.
In a statement to NJBIZ, Sorrentino shared, “The first few months growing Archangel Centers’ first location have been incredibly rewarding for me because this mission comes from lived experience. Turning my own struggles into something that can help other people reclaim their lives has been one of the proudest moments of my journey.

“We set a goal of reaching a census of 50 clients early on, and we’re already nearing that milestone, which really shows there’s a need for compassionate, high-quality recovery support in our communities. Our next goal is reaching a census of 75 clients by July as we prepare to open our next facility in North Carolina,” the 2025 NJBIZ People to Watch Health Care honoree said.

The 44-year-old Manalapan native has been open about his past addiction and recovery. The debut of Archangel Centers coincided with Sorrentino’s 10-year sobriety anniversary.
In addition to publishing his memoir, “Reality Check: Making the Best of the Situation – How I Overcame Addiction, Loss and Prison,” Sorrentino regularly speaks at treatment centers, high schools and colleges nationwide.
Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren, are also nationally certified motivational interventionists.
At Archangel Centers, treatment programs include a mix of medical detox, therapy, group support and aftercare.
As part of its next phase of growth, the brand will introduce dedicated wellness, urgent care and behavioral healthcare. The expansion aims to support prevention, long-term recovery and overall wellbeing.
Archangel Centers recently established a scholarship in memory of Lauren Sorrentino’s late brother, Christopher Pesce. He died in 2013 at the age of 25 after battling addiction issues.
Each month, the initiative grants one individual 30 days of fully covered addiction treatment to give a fresh start at no cost to those in need.
Additionally, Archangel Centers is adding an intervention and family services program to support patients’ transition from active addiction into recovery. The intervention team is made up of certified professionals and led in part by Mike and Lauren Sorrentino.
The venture plans to pursue a capital raise to support its growth. The funding will help to accelerate development of the brand nationwide as well as support expanding Archangel Centers’ upper and middle management teams.
It is also exploring strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities across the U.S. Individuals, operators and healthcare partners interested in bringing an Archangel Center to their state are encouraged to contact the organization directly.
Sorrentino said, “One of our biggest successes has been building trust with residents and families by creating a program rooted in accountability, connection, and real support. This inspired us to launch our All-Purpose and Family Support meetings every Thursday, further opening our doors to the community.”
“While I love being on television, what means even more to me is being able to genuinely help people change their lives. That’s the part of this journey that has been the most fulfilling,” he shared with NJBIZ.
Sorrentino went on to say, “We’ve learned that every individual’s recovery journey is different, so it’s important to stay adaptable and continue listening to the needs of the people we serve. We’re still growing, still learning, and staying focused on the bigger picture: helping as many people as possible find hope, healing, and long-term recovery.”
