Organic and natural grocery chain Sprouts Farmers Market is gearing up to launch its third New Jersey store.
Located at 327 Route 35 in Aberdeen, the 22,700-square-foot store is scheduled to open June 7 following a 6:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The first 100 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free reusable tote bag filled with special products and samples, according to Sprouts.
As part of the grand opening celebration, Sprouts will host a variety of activities through June 9. Promotions include free samples, contests to guess the weight of an oversized piece of produce, giveaways and music.
Additionally, shoppers who sign up for a Sprouts account online through midnight on June 9 will have the chance to win a $500 Sprouts gift card.
Customers can also score 20% off their purchase between June 7 through 9 by texting “DEEN” to 777-688.
Following the grand opening, Sprouts will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Founded in 2002, Sprouts offers a wide selection of natural and organic foods, including fresh produce, meat, poultry, seafood, baked goods, vitamins, household items, body care, dairy products and packaged groceries.
The Phoenix-based grocer has more than 400 stores in 23 states, including two in New Jersey: Marlton and Haddonfield Township.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Aberdeen,” said Fred Tagliarini, mayor of Aberdeen. “In addition to providing fresh, healthy, and specialty foods to our residents, Sprouts also brings 100 jobs to our community, playing a vital role in our vision of Aberdeen becoming the best township to live, raise a family, and grow a business.”
As part of its commitment to serve the communities where it operates, Sprouts is working with local farmers, such as Flaim, Farms, Eastern Fresh Growers and Sunny Valley International, to source produce.
The store will also donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to Fulfill, a Jersey Shore-based food bank that provides wholesome food to families and individuals at risk of hunger.
