In an effort to help football fans recover from Super Bowl LX festivities, and will give away the day after the big game.

As part of the Moonachie-based bakery café concept’s Feb. 9 promotion, rewards members can score a free medium hot or iced coffee with any pastry purchase. Paris Baguette has more than two dozen cafes across New Jersey.

For the second year, Starbucks is offering its loyalty program members free tall iced or brewed coffee with the purchase of any beverage throughout the day. Locally, the Seattle-headquartered coffee chain has about 350 spots.

Dubbed as “ Monday,” the day after the big game typically sees more sick-day requests than average, as people try to recover from watch parties.

A newly released survey on post-Super Bowl work attendance from workforce management platform UKG projects that a record-setting 26.2 million employees will miss work Monday.

Of those workers, UKG says:

  • 13.1 million will take a pre‑approved day off up from 2025
  • 6.5 million will swap shifts with a co-worker up from 2025
  • 3.3 million will call out “sick” slightly up from 2025
  • 1.6 million will “ghost” their job down significantly from 2025

UKG also noted that Super Bowl LX kicks off a year filled with “must watch moments that could impact work.”

Events cited by employees that might impact attendance include:

  • Feb. 6–22, Winter Olympics: 26.2 million (16%)
  • March 17–April 6, NCAA Men’s March Madness Tournament: 18 million (11%)
