At 4,200 square feet, Mabel at Bell Works can seat 210 guests. The elevated dining experience holds distinction as the first full-service eatery to open at the Holmdel “metroburb.”
The restaurant’s name pays homage to Mabel Gardiner Bell, wife of inventor Alexander Graham Bell, according to Bell Works. The moniker taps into the 2 million-square-foot property’s history as the onetime Bell Labs campus.
Various graphic elements throughout the space as well as a prominent mural were designed by So & So. As for the food: Bell Works described chefs Grace Crossman and Laura Brahnas’ fare as “coastal European bar food.”
Inspired by Somerset Development founder and CEO Ralph Zucker hailed the debut as a milestone.
“Mabel represents more than another eatery, but a space that fosters a new level of community and connection within the Bell Works ecosystem,” he said. “This exciting culinary addition from a reputable hospitality team is a natural extension of our vision to establish the campus as a destination for businesses, locals and visitors alike.”
